Having traveled solo for 9 months around Europe, I have become a bit of a maestra of carefully conducting travel plans in the most budget-friendly way possible. However, something I have not exactly mastered as artfully, is making those plans both cheap and simple. My recent hiatus from writing and blogging was slightly unexpected and yet unavoidable with everything going on lately. From traveling to work to coming down with a seasonal flu virus, I have been pretty out of commission. I returned back from my recent trip brimming with inspiration and expected to jump right back into writing with flying colors and glorious ideas, but it seemed that this particular kind of inspiration was inclined towards other mediums- mostly dance and brainstorming for new projects. It took a while for me to get back the motivation to put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard, I suppose).

Dansez Maintenant Festival | A Rekindled Love

I arrived in the two am deep darkness, foggy from the train ride and altogether exhausted from a day’s worth of travel. Two of the very kind co-founders of the festival picked me up and drove my disoriented self through country road and tiny winding streets until we reached a looming pair of gates. We pulled up behind a building and I could barely see a thing around me except above, a vast sparkling array of stars mapped out like a planetarium. I stumbled inside, upstairs, and practically fell headfirst into the grand and comfortable shape of a canopied bed before passing out for the next 5 hours.
